State Representative Tom Morrison is teaming up with Vitalant to host a blood drive at Palatine Township, 721 S. Quentin Road, Patriot Room in Palatine, Illinois. This event will take place on June 14th, World Blood Donor Day, a day to raise global awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products for transfusion and of the critical contribution that voluntary, unpaid blood donors make to national health systems.
Donations are by appointment only, between the hours of 9:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. You can make your appointment at the following link: https://donors.vitalant.org/dwp/portal/dwa/appointment/guest/phl/timeSlotsExtr?token=jZPcRGN1MC3Fz27ol6%2Fc39V%2BM%2FUm8lX1xl%2FiScHCgRw%3D
Palatine Food Pantry donations are also welcome.
Regarding the event, Representative Morrison said, “I can’t emphasize enough the impact blood donors make for those in need. A quick, easy donation at an event such as this saves lives, plain and simple. That’s why I’m honored to partner with Vitalant to make this event available to the public. We can make a difference together and I hope to see you at our June 14th Blood Drive. Please make an appointment with another blood drive if you cannot make this specific event.”
