Representative Morrison is a former small business owner, a former teacher and a 1997 graduate of Hillsdale College. His parents helped found Christian Liberty Academy of Arlington Heights in 1969 where he taught fifth grade for six years. Tom earned a 2009 Gold and 2010 Platinum industry award for his leadership position with SERVPRO, a disaster cleanup and restoration company based in Elk Grove.
Representative Morrison was the first Illinois legislator to entirely opt-out of the state’s pension systems. He was also selected for the inaugural class of the 2012 Edgar Fellows Leadership Program. He is married to Bethany, and together they have four children.
