State Representative Tom Morrison (R-Palatine) is partnering with the Palatine Police Department to host a free Prescription Drop Off event. The event will be held on Saturday, August 21st, at the Palatine Police Department, 595 N. Hicks Road, from 9:00-Noon.
Rep. Morrison’s event will utilize a drive-thru style system to ensure the health and safety of residents. Attendees are asked to remain in their vehicles, drive through, and hand off their items. Medicines including prescription ointments and patches, pet medications, and vitamins will all be accepted. Liquids, needles and any illegal drugs are not permitted. The Palatine Police will be on hand to ensure the proper protocols for disposal are followed.
“This is an opportunity to clean out your medicine cabinets and safely dispose of unwanted prescription medications,” said Rep. Morrison. “By partnering with our police, together, we are making it as easy as possible to remove these expired, old, or unwanted medicines from your home.”
The event is free and open to the public. With questions, constituents can contact Rep. Morrison’s district office at (847) 202-6584.
